Featured on Style Me Pretty!

I recently took part in a styled shoot where a group of great Boston wedding vendors got together and created a beautiful, summery wedding set-up. The shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty Massachusetts on Monday! I did the paper goods...from invitations to seating chart, menus to table numbers, waterproof soda bottle labels to small signs for the candy table and lounge. Here are a few photos of my work, but check out Style Me Pretty for the full blog post.

Turtle Baby Shower Invitations

My sister-in-law is doing her biology thesis on turtles, so we thought it would be cute to incorporate them into her baby shower invites. I made two parents and a baby turtle with a little pink bow. The theme is "the best things in life are worth waiting for" and I used nice springy colors of light pink and green.

Sock Hop Birthday Invitations

I was contacted by a family friend to create a Sock Hop Themed invitation set for her husband's 70th birthday. She sent out the save-the-dates with their Christmas Cards last winter and then followed up with the invitation and RSVP card. The couple are big dancers, so I found this great graphic and paired it with records, colors and fonts from the 50's.

Real Couples: Danielle & Justin's Cape Cod Wedding

Danielle and Justin had their wedding on Cape Cod, MA last October and I received some great pictures from their photographer, Dan Cutrona Photograph. I created menus, table numbers and placecards that matched their invitation set. I also used one of Dan's photos to create thank you cards for the couple.

Danielle & Justin were my first couple to do embosssed pocketfolds, which came out stunning.Click here to see their invitations.

Baby Boy Shower Invitations

I modified these shower invitations from a pink girl theme to be a blue boy theme. Simple and classy for the mom that doesn't want a cutesy shower invite!

Hydrangea Bridal Shower Invite

I've had these invitations sitting on my desk for a week and every time I look at them, I am happy because I feel like spring is almost here! We used light, medium and dark purples and a beautiful hydrangea graphic to tie into the shower's theme.

Amy's Baby Shower

My sister-in-law is due with her first baby next month and I helped do all the stationery for the event. I tested out my new AccuCut machine by doing custom designed invitations with the baby onsie die cut. I incorporated the design of the fabric that Amy is using in the nursery. I also made the favors (homemade muffin mixes) and customized them with "Bun in the Oven" tags and coordinating ribbons. Lastly, I also did matching thank you notes for the mom-to-be (which I neglected to photograph!).

Christmas Cards

I admit to being a bad blogger...I get on a kick for a while, then poof, I forget. One business resolution of mine is to be a better at blogging, twitter and facebook.

I finally took some shots of our Christmas cards. I did a batch that went to my clients from 2009 and then just changed the wording for our personal family Christmas Cards. Printed on a lovely white shimmer cardstock.

Meg & Fran's Rehearsal Dinner & Breakfast Invites

Meg and Fran wanted rehearsal dinner and day after breakfast invitations that matched the same theme as their wedding invitations. I used the same fonts, cardstock and graphics but added some extra blue for punch. We did two different RSVP cards since some guests were invited to both events and some just to one.

Meg & Fran's Beer Bottles

Meg and Fran brewed their own beer for their guests and they asked me to do a custom designed label. We played into the Texan in Meg and Bostonian in Fran to create this unique beer label.

Bird & Flower Wedding Invitations

I first started to work with Meg & Fran and their save-the-dates,which were fun and casual. For their invites, they wanted something much more formal but still carrying the same color scheme. Meg just loved little birds on invitations, so we knew that was a critical element. They also liked swirly floral elements and fancy fonts. I did a lot of searching for the right font and graphics and it was a hit.

Vintage Reception Extras

These are the reception extras that matched Terri & Glen's set. I did table numbers, placecards and personal menus for each guest.

Vintage Invitations

Terri and Glen opted for a vintage feel for their graphics and fonts. We ended up with this flourish and an antique looking font. We tied the blue metallic cardstock in by adding a layer on the invitation and using it for inserts. I love the layering of the invitation which gives it the feel of a framed picture. I also did menus, table numbers and placecards with coordinating look and feel. Will post those separately.

Rehearsal Dinner Invitations - Lobster themed

I met with Justin's family to create the rehearsal dinner invitations for Justin & Danielle. We decided to go more casual than their wedding invitations but still wanted to carry the graphics in. Since the dinner was held at a casual lobster restuarant on Cape Cod, we pulled in a lobster graphic and used it with the same swirly graphic from their invites. We kept the color schemes simple with just black, white and red. I even added a lobster on the envelopes :)

Falling Leaves - take 2

This was my second set of invitations for falling leaves(here's the first set). We used totally different graphics and colors in this set. Paired a rich wine color with gold and cream cardstock. I also did guest addressing on the envelopes and adding some falling leaves there as well.

This is my first set of baby announcement magnets. I have a whole line of magnets to offer, both baby and save-the-dates...just inquire. Will have for sale when my new website is created (someday!)
